It has been reported that X-Men: Apocalypse focuses on Beast and Mystique
Nicholas Hoult has indicated that X-Men: Apocalypse could be his last outing as Beast for the franchise.
We all knew it couldn’t last forever but Hoult has spoken about his future
Comic book and movie fans were pretty impressed as he made the role of Hank McCoy his own in X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Speaking to E! Online, he reveals the next film could be his last as Beast.
“This is the last one I’m signed up for,” he said, at the opening party for Boffin’s Lab Powered by Jaguar and Wired Insider at SXSW.
“The first one did so well and [Days of Future Past] got received so brilliantly,” Hoult said. “It’s like, ‘Wow, people really want to see the films’ and the best thing is it’s a great crew and cast to work with and he’s a fun character. I have a good time playing him so I’d keep making them.”
It has been reported that X-Men: Apocalypse focuses on Beast and Mystique (played by Hoult’s ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence).
Apocalypse, set in the 1980s and directed by Bryan Singer
X-Men: Apocalypse is out 27 May 2016.
